| When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
Yes, when I started competing, I wanted to be one of the best athletes. I started to participate in international competitions in 2008 at European Youth Series, but my first serious international competition took place in 2009 during Speed Climbing World Cup. I was so happy to make 4th place at my first Speed Climbing World Cup J That was for me a big motivation for the next world’s competition J
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
I like to compete and I prefer to train than just climb outside, that’s why I like competition. The body and mind training as well as self-improvement motivate me the most.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
I often struggle with myself, fighting against my own weaknesses and restrictions. Good athlete should think positive even if it's hard and should have the attitude of a warrior.
What influenced you to start competing?
In the beginning, my main influence was my first coach Tomasz Oleksy – a well-known and experienced sport climber with many awards. He inspired me to compete in international competitions and was also for me a big authority.
Who most helped you get to where you are right now?
Most of all it was my hard work, but I definitely wouldn’t be were I am now, without the help of people who have been working with me throughout all these years, especially my coaches and psychologists.
What advice could you give to Young Athletes?
Competitions are often very hard, but it’s important to climb with passion and keep going. Also it is important to clearly define your goal and aim to achieve it.
